The Polyurethane Direct-Buried Insulated Pipe Industry Enters a New Technological Era
Prefabricated polyurethane foam insulated pipes are widely used in pipeline networks for the transportation of liquids and gases, including insulation projects for chemical pipelines, oil and chemical facilities, district heating networks, central air-conditioning ventilation ducts, and municipal engineering applications.
A Brief Discussion on the Application of Horizontal Directional Drilling in Oil and Gas Pipeline Engineering
With the accelerating pace of urbanization and the ever-growing demands of economic development, China’s projects in oil, natural gas, hydropower, and electric power have continued to expand, while simultaneously witnessing significant advancements in construction techniques and overall project management.
Application of Trenchless Technology in the Construction of Large-Diameter, Long-Distance Steam Pipelines
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, in line with the state’s vigorous promotion of energy conservation and emissions reduction and the principle of “heat-based power generation” in power investment and construction, an increasing number of steam combined-cycle units have been commissioned across the country. Such “cogeneration” projects, or “tri-generation distributed energy systems” that provide heat, power, and cooling,

Rotational Molding and Injection Molding Processes for PE Gas Pipes
Rotational molding and injection molding of PE gas pipes both employ this processing method, in which the material is typically crushed into powder form, allowing it to melt and flow during thermal cycling.
PE gas pipes have a wide range of applications.
Comparative wear-resistance tests between large-diameter PE pipes and steel pipes show that HDPE pipes exhibit four times the wear resistance of steel pipes. In slurry transportation applications, HDPE pipes outperform steel pipes in wear resistance, which translates into longer service life and greater cost-effectiveness.
What is the market outlook for plastic piping?
In recent years, the nation’s total water supply has remained at around 50 billion cubic meters, reaching 51.342 billion cubic meters in 2011. Of this total, industrial water use accounted for 15.965 billion cubic meters, or 31.09% of the total; domestic water use amounted to 24.765 billion cubic meters, representing 48.24% of the total. In 2011, the total length of urban water supply pipelines in China had reached 570,000 kilometers.
The difference between PE water supply pipes and PE drainage pipes
PE water supply pipes are used to convey potable water, typically by pumping water from underground sources to the surface and into residential homes. Because PE water supply pipes must withstand pumping pressure, they are generally classified into five pressure grades: 0.6 MPa, 0.8 MPa, 1.0 MPa, 1.25 MPa, and 1.6 MPa, corresponding to pressure ratings of 6 kgf/cm², 8 kgf/cm², 10 kgf/cm², 12.5 kgf/cm², and 16 kgf/cm², respectively. The higher the pumping pressure, the higher the required pressure rating for the PE water supply pipe.
Only by properly managing water can we achieve excellence—PE pipes are the superior choice for water supply systems!
Compared with commonly used pipe materials such as cement pipes, PE water supply pipes have a significantly longer service life. Conventional pipes, such as iron pipes, are prone to rusting and can release contaminating chemical substances if left unused for extended periods. In contrast, PE water supply pipes are made of plastic, which not only resists corrosion but also offers a much longer service life.
Introduction to the Ground Load Pressure of PE Water Supply Pipes
A load is an external force and other factors that induce internal forces and cause deformation of a structure or component. Alternatively, in accordance with standard practice, various direct effects are applied to an engineering structure to produce the corresponding structural or component responses. Typical loads include structural self-weight, floor live loads, roof live loads, roof-area snow loads, vehicle loads, and crane loads.

What is a steel-plastic transition fitting, and what is it mainly used for?
The anti-corrosion heat-shrink application of steel-to-plastic transition fittings is used for the underground and wall-mounted anti-corrosion protection of DN natural gas steel pipes, requiring a dedicated design solution that addresses corrosion protection for both straight-run and spliced steel pipes, as well as the joint areas of the steel-to-plastic transition sections—ensuring corrosion resistance, tight sealing, wear resistance, and aesthetic appeal. It can also be applied to seal and protect against corrosion at locations such as pipe slip-on flanges, insulated flanges, and clamp (lock) connections.
